Job Description
We are seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee and manage the daily accounting operations, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will lead a team of accounting professionals and ensure that internal controls, financial policies, and procedures are effectively implemented. - Oversee Financial Operations : Ensure all financial transactions, reconciliations, and reporting are completed accurately and on time, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Compliance Management : Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including the Service Contract Act (SCA), and ensure adherence to internal financial policies and procedures.
- Budgeting and Forecasting : Support the budgeting process by analyzing financial data and providing insights for forecasts and reports.
- Financial Reporting : Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP, providing insights and recommendations for improvements.
- Internal Controls : Establish, monitor, and enforce internal controls to safeguard the organization's assets and minimize risk.
- Audit Preparation : Ensure all financial records and supporting documentation are ready for internal and external audits.
- Team Leadership : Provide leadership, training, and development opportunities to accounting staff, including overseeing performance management and employee engagement efforts.
- Collaboration : Work closely with other departments (HR, IT, and Safety) to provide financial guidance and support cross-functional initiatives.
- Contract Support : Assist with contract negotiations, proposals, and compliance related to government contracts and other service agreements.
