What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr Manager of Site Operations position at Avantor Performance Material?
The Opportunity :
Avantor is looking for a dedicated Sr. Manager of Site Operations to be responsible for the manufacturing site's achievement of safety, quality, delivery, profitability, and people development performance. This person oversees all daily operations of the manufacturing site, including but not limited to Safety, Quality, Planning, Production, Warehouse, Distribution, Facilities and Maintenance.
This role will be a full-time position based out of our St. Louis, MO office.
What we're looking for :
- Education :
- Bachelors degree, preferably in Engineering or Operations related field.
- Experience :
- 10 years related experience, with 5 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Experience in batch specialty chemical or cGMP manufacturing operations is preferred.
- Additional Qualifications :
- Experience with operational excellence tools, such as Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, etc. is required.
- Experience with enterprise resource planning and warehouse management systems, such as SAP or Oracle, is preferred.
- Strong leadership, critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a total quality team environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills.
- Knowledge and application of Root Cause Analysis.
- Proven success in a team oriented, matrix organization.
- Ability to learn various data base and MRP systems.
- Ability to manage and continuously improve processes.
- High energy and eagerness to drive improvements.
- Strong interpersonal, team building, communication and presentation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
