What are the responsibilities and job description for the Apparel Maintenance Technician position at Avantor?
Job Description
This role involves working closely with the Avantor Lab and Production Services team to provide customized lab solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support to our customers.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Point of use replenishment of garments
- Collection of used garments
- Inspection of used garments to identify any damage before shipment
- Collection of usage data at point of use and adding it to tracking log
- Receiving inbound shipments from common carriers
- Preparing shipping documentation and staging material for pickup
- Running customer database of hanger assignments
- Inspecting damaged garments being returned as truly damaged items
- Daily inspections of inventory & soil bins check to avoid overflow
- Reviewing and approving invoices to packaging and shipping receipts
- Ordering new garments as needed or any special sizes
- Mapping out garment locations for training aids
- Being the point person for any garment issues or concerns
