What are the responsibilities and job description for the JIT Technician position at Avantor?
The Opportunity :
The Technician is responsible for carrying out routine tasks at a customer site, all of which may include : basic order entry, shipping & receiving, inventory point of use replenishment (inventory), production packaging, cylinder delivery, pickup, waste disposal, desktop delivery of inbound packages, cleanroom garment management, and glass washing. The work is generally performed in a laboratory, university and / or pharmaceutical environment. Must be cognizant of and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and regulatory requirements.
In this role, you will report to the Supervisor, Onsite Services and will work closely with the Avantor's Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel - and our customers - to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

What we're looking for :
High School diploma or GED is required.
1 years of experience in customer service, inventory replenishment, and / or material handling is required.
Microsoft Suite including Excel is required.
Outstanding communication and follow through skills required.
Excellent attention to detail required.
Able to lift 50 lbs. required.
Customer service focus with the ability to work collaboratively to ensure the customer's needs are being met required.
Able to partner with other teams and suppliers and deliver results in a matrix environment, balancing multiple internal and external partners required.
Able to adapt emerging standard processes and industry innovations required.
Motivated and enthusiastic about working required.
Proficient in data capture, analysis and reporting using various IT systems desired.
Knowledge and understanding of Good Laboratory Standards desired.
In this role you will :
Facilitates orders for consumable inventory replenishment.
Runs customer's point of use or stockroom inventory.
Responsible for logistical activities such as shipping and receiving of materials throughcoordination with 3rd party couriers.
Basic order entry and follow-up on existing back-orders.
Handles chemicals, including hazardous materials.
Maintains and checks safety stations.
Updating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
