The Opportunity : Under limited supervision, installs, maintains, and repairs manufacturing equipment and fixtures. Conducts general maintenance activities primarily on machinery and related equipment. Maintains repair and maintenance records. Troubleshoots problems and escalates the most complex issues. Avantor is looking for a Maintenance Sr. Technician in our Nusil site. This role will be a full-time position based in Carpinteria, CA. You will have the opportunity to work closely with a very dynamic team in a great environment. NuSil is involved in healthcare, aerospace and biotech. Performs maintenance or general carpentry on items such as doors, floors, docks, overhead doors, roof downspouts, product racks, materials handling equipment, etc. Completes required reports when maintenance tasks are concluded. Answers security alarm calls as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications Technical School preferred. High School diploma or equivalent preferred. 3 years applicable direct experience in a similar position. How you will thrive and create an impact Skills in mathematics, personal computers and related applications are vital. Interpersonal and communication skills are important. Knowledge of HVAC systems required.
