The Opportunity:
Avantor seeks a Manager, Maintenance and Reliability to lead the Maintenance & Reliability team.
The Manager will oversee operating performance, plant maintenance of equipment including mechanical, electrical, and instruments and controls, monitor operating and outage reports, and ensure performance targets are met. They will establish and administer operational and maintenance strategies.
This role will be a full-time position based out of our Phillipsburg, NJ office. The individual will have the opportunity to be a key member of the Site Leadership Team (SLT) and support the growth and continuous improvement of the site and associated businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee all aspects of maintenance operations, including equipment maintenance, repair, and replacement.
• Establish and administer operational and maintenance budgets.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure optimal equipment performance and efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize maintenance needs and develop solutions.
• Manage Union staff and administration of Collective Bargaining Agreements as needed.
• Ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards, including cGMP's, EPA, OSHA, DEA, DOT, and other applicable guidelines.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years of applicable experience in maintenance or equipment repair, preferably in a manufacturing or chemical industry.
• Experience managing Union staff and administration of Collective Bargaining Agreements.
• In-depth knowledge of industry and regulatory standards, including cGMP's, EPA, OSHA, DEA, DOT, and other applicable guidelines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
