Job Overview
The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the overall financial health of the company. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a passion for numbers.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain financial records, ensure transactions are properly recorded including general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, and payroll.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Participate in the monthly close process including but not limited to reconciling balance sheet accounts, researching and resolving discrepancies, reviewing revenue and expenses for proper coding, and preparing journal entries.
- Assist in the preparation of management reports such as budget to actuals, variance analysis, gross margin analysis.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather and analyze financial data.
- Provide support for special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as needed.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a mid-sized company.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
- Intermediate to advanced computer literacy.
- Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas etc.)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Salary : $59,400 - $78,400
