Personal Injury Legal Assistant (Full-Time/On-site))
Our client is seeking a Legal Assistant to support trial attorneys within the personal injury group in State and Federal Courts in their Dover, NH office. The ideal candidate will have at least 1-3 years’ of law firm experience.
Requirements:
- Management of personal injury files
- Experience with contacting claims adjusters
- Experience with requesting, reviewing, and organizing medical records
- Prepare medical evidence for trial
- Experience with scheduling permanent impairment evaluations
- Knowledge of Court Rules and all discovery deadlines
- Must have excellent secretarial skills with the ability to multi-task under pressure and prioritize
- Attention to detail and proofreading skills
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Adobe, NetDocuments, scanning and maintaining electronic files is a plus
- Assisting with discovery and document management
- Serving and filing legal papers in various courts, with familiarity with electronic filing systems in both State and Federal Courts
- Utilizing communication skills via email and phone with clients, court staff, and opposing counsel
Compensation: 45K-55K depending on experience.
