What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Associate Attorney position at Avata Partners?
Avata Partners is partnering with a law firm in their search for a senior level associate attorney to join their construction litigation practice.
This is an opportunity to do high-level, complex construction litigation representing contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, developers, etc. This is not construction defect litigation. The successful candidate will have 5 years of relevant experience, and be confident in handling cases from inception to conclusion. Must be a licensed active member of CA State Bar.
Qualifications :
- 5-7 years of litigation experience
- Candidates should have experience with construction contracts and disputes.
- Candidate’s experience should include drafting of pleadings / motions, drafting and responding to written discovery, and managing document discovery.
- Experience with depositions, arguing motions, and preparing for and attending mediations, trials, and arbitrations is a plus.
Compensation is $180-220 base. Candidates must be amenable and able to work onsite in their Oakland office.
