We are looking for an experienced Inventory Manager to oversee and optimize our inventory processes, ensuring that we maintain the right balance of stock to meet production demands while minimizing costs and waste. This role is critical to the smooth functioning of our operations and achieving our company goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Oversight: Manage and monitor inventory levels, ensuring sufficient stock for production while avoiding overstock or shortages.
- Stock Control: Oversee the receiving, storage, and distribution of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate records in inventory management systems, ensuring real-time tracking of inventory levels.
- Cycle Counting: Implement and manage regular cycle counts and full physical inventories to reconcile stock discrepancies.
- Forecasting: Collaborate with production and sales teams to forecast inventory needs based on demand planning and seasonal trends.
- Vendor Coordination: Work with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any supply chain issues.
- Cost Management: Identify cost-saving opportunities in inventory processes and work to minimize waste.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to food safety standards, including proper storage conditions and FIFO (First In, First Out) protocols.
- Team Leadership: Train and supervise inventory staff, fostering a culture of accountability and efficiency.
- Continuous Improvement: Evaluate and refine inventory management processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3 years of experience in inventory management, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of inventory control systems and processes.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software (e.g., ERP systems).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., GMP, HACCP) is a plus.
Salary : $60,000 - $80,000
