The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory management, logistics, and compliance with food safety standards, ensuring seamless operations and maintaining a high level of efficiency, quality, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management:
- Oversee and maintain accurate inventory levels to meet production and distribution demands.
- Implement inventory control systems to optimize stock levels and minimize waste.
- Lead, train, and manage warehouse staff, including scheduling, performance reviews, and resolving operational challenges.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork among employees.
- Manage the receiving, storage, and shipping of raw materials and finished products to meet production and delivery schedules
- Collaborate with procurement and production teams to ensure the timely availability of materials.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations, including HACCP, FDA, and local health and safety standards.
- Conduct regular safety training and audits to maintain a safe working environment.
- Develop and implement warehouse procedures to streamline operations and reduce costs.
- Analyze workflows and identify areas for efficiency improvements.
- Oversee the maintenance of warehouse equipment and ensure the facility meets hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management, preferably in the food manufacturing industry. | | | | | | |
- Proven track record of managing a team in a high-volume environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and standards.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and warehouse management software (e.g., SAP, WMS).
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Forklift certification (preferred).
- Food Safety and/or HACCP certification (a plus).
- This role involves working in a manufacturing environment, which may include exposure to temperature variations, noise, and moving machinery.
- The position requires standing, lifting, and moving materials regularly.
