Bloomberg is looking for an insightful and versatile reporter to cover money, power, and the economy in Boston and the broader New England region. You'll be a go-getter who can build a network of sources to write stories about Boston's richest families, the influential power brokers, some of the region's most important companies, and the role they play in shaping the economy and politics in this key corner of the country. You'll be required to break news, write long-form stories that connect the dots with what's going on nationally, and collaborate with other teams within Bloomberg.
Based out of Bloomberg's Boston office, the role also offers the opportunity to tap into real estate, higher education, immigration, and other broad themes impacting the country in the aftermath of the 2024 presidential election and in the lead-up to the Boston mayoral and Massachusetts governor races.
In this high-profile position, you'll be expected to cut through jargon, telling business-focused stories to a broad audience and capturing the most important issues affecting the region.
Responsibilities :
- Break news on the richest families and important business developments in Boston and New England.
- Have a wide network of sources that you can tap at short notice.
- Write both short- and long-form stories under tight deadlines.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues across the newsroom.
- Produce stories across all our platforms.
Minimum Requirements :
Salary Range : 90000-120000 USD Annually Benefits Bonus
