Quality Assurance Engineer, Integrations (with Secret clearance)

Using software integrations to connect with third-party systems and offer a seamless user experience is a key aspect of our product. The Integrations Services team is responsible for analyzing, designing, and documenting every integration, as well as developing, maintaining, and testing them.

Quality Assurance Engineers in this team perform technical and functional analysis of the way our platform exchanges information with third party software and help develop a technical design to satisfy our customers’ needs. They also actively monitor the health of deployed integrations to tackle issues before they affect our customers.

Your Challenges And Objectives

• Participate in functional requirements and technical design discussions to plan for test development and provide meaningful feedback.
• Obtain thorough knowledge of our complex and highly configurable platform.
• Work hand-in-hand with customer-facing teams, understanding their different needs.
• Deliver a high quality product.
• Act as a promoter of QA culture.
  
  

Your Day-to-day Activities

• Gain full understanding of integration requirements from functional and technical design documentations and provide input on the design and architecture of middleware solutions.
• Analyze business requirements, use cases and technical specifications to script comprehensive test cases.
• Perform System Integration (SIT), regression testing, performance testing, and end-to-end testing of middleware components to ensure business, technical, and functional requirements are being met throughout the SDLC.
• Conduct thorough middleware testing to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of applications.
• Document defects found during testing, communicate test status and impediments to the Analysis and Project management teams.
• Leverage log analysis, troubleshoot, and resolve issues identified during testing phases, working closely with development teams.
• Promote and apply QA policies and best practices.
  
  

About You

• Hold an active Secret US government security clearance.
• Curious and analytical.
• Strong technical background and hands on experience in testing integrations using web-services, and APIs including Soap UI/XML, REST/JSON.
• Demonstrated experience in testing REST APIs using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools.
• Experience in testing data validation scenarios and data ingestion, pipelines, and transformation processes. Experience with data integration tools are a plus.
• Solid understanding of test processes: requirements analysis, test scenario design, test case creation, test scripting and status reporting to stakeholders for testing services.
• Environment setup and server monitoring experience are a plus.
