ManTech is seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Senior Database Engineer to join our team. This position is onsite in Washington, D.C.
Responsibilities :
- Responsible for the overall design, maintenance, enhancement, coding, and administration of the database schemas / databases and quality of data.
- Provide technical subject matter expertise (SME) on ingesting into the database from sources such as file systems and perform database maintenance.
- Responsible for SQL and PL / SQL development to include developing backend reports to support user needs; developing custom scripts to automate various database management processes, monitoring and troubleshooting database performance; developing, optimizing, and tuning stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, and queries in support of application development.
- Responsible for managing, monitoring, and administering database system performance and schedules.
- Responsible for monitoring the performance of system files and managing system data to maintain performance efficiency.
- Conducting performance tuning, baselining, and forecasting system performance, and managing configurations.
- Providing technical support in the evaluation of prime object names, data elements, and other objects.
- Recommending and implementing appropriate procedure, query, or package changes and optimizations to ensure and improve system performance and reliability.
- Installing and configuring database environments.
- Participating in server and storage capacity management and planning for the most complex and critical systems.
- Supporting and improving the processes and procedures needed to provide real-time technical support for deployed systems and teams.
- Working with engineering teammates to resolve reported problems.
- Interfacing with third-party vendors for monitoring, troubleshooting, tracking, and resolving issues.
- Working with quality assurance / testing personnel to define acceptance criteria for each release cycle and testing systems as needed.
- Work with Program Manager and Program Leadership to identify and implement continuous process improvement, new technologies for improving performance, efficiencies, and / or quality.
- Preparing and presenting briefings to customers as required.

Compensation :
The projected compensation range for this position is $138,700.00-$231,400.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary / hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
