Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)

Job Summary :

This is a fulltime direct placement position. The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) plays a vital role in supporting the Director of Nursing (DON) in overseeing nursing staff ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and delivering highquality patient care. As the ADON you will assist in managing daily nursing operations supervising nursing personnel and providing clinical leadership. This role requires an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with a strong background in home health care exceptional leadership abilities and a commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and compassion.

Key Responsibilities :

Clinical Leadership : Assist in planning implementing and evaluating nursing services to ensure the delivery of highquality care. Act as a resource for nursing staff and provide guidance on clinical practices.

Staff Supervision : Oversee and manage nursing staff including scheduling training and evaluating performance. Support the professional development of team members and address staffing concerns as needed.

Policy Compliance : Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations accreditation standards and organizational policies. Participate in audits and inspections to maintain regulatory compliance.

Patient Care Oversight : Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans. Monitor patient outcomes and recommend adjustments to care plans as necessary.

Quality Improvement : Assist in developing and executing quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes staff performance and operational efficiency.

Education and Training : Organize and facilitate training programs for nursing staff to ensure competency and compliance with industry standards.

Crisis Management : Respond to patient care emergencies and support staff in managing critical situations effectively and safely.

Communication : Serve as a liaison between nursing staff physicians patients and families to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.

Requirements :

Licensure : Must hold an active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana.

Education : Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.

Experience : Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in a home health setting . Previous leadership or management experience is strongly preferred.

Skills :

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Excellent communication problemsolving and organizational abilities.

Compassionate and patientcentered approach to care.

Physical Requirements :

Ability to stand walk and move throughout the shift.

Ability to lift and assist patients with mobility and transfers.

Ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and physical stamina.
