Physical Therapy Assistant
Reports To :
Director of Rehabilitation Services
Summary :
The incumbent shall be responsible for providing, under the direction of a physical therapist, therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position's qualifications, state and federal guidelines, professional practices and ethical standards. The incumbent shall also demonstrate accountability for and contribution to program development, quality improvement, problem solving, and productivity enhancement in a flexible interdisciplinary fashion. The incumbent shall be accountable for carrying out all the responsibilities in accordance with Ave Maria's values and mission.
Qualifications :
- Graduate of an associate's degree program and hold an applicable and current license / certification to practice.
- Experience working with a geriatric population is preferred.
- Demonstrate competency in using a computer or tablet for electronic medical records.
- Good communication skills in order to interact with patients / residents, caregivers / family and other members of the IDT team.
