What are the responsibilities and job description for the Apprentice Locksmith position at Ave's Lock And Key?

Ave's Lock and Key is looking to hire a new apprentice locksmith who is interested in learning a rewarding career that has limitless potential for both career and financial growth. The optimal candidate will be mechanically inclined and enjoys solving puzzles. They would be expected to undergo a 3 month paid apprenticeship, in which they would participate in training and complete a probationary period wherein they are shown the ropes and are given the tools to help them build a foothold in their new career.
As an apprentice locksmith, you will be in the field learning hands-on how to service common locking mechanisms for homes, businesses, safes, and automobiles. A successful locksmith is driven and is able to problem solve on their own in order to provide adequate solutions for customers in the field as well as in the shop.

On-call availability is required, as well as a clean criminal and driving record and the ability to pass randomized drug screenings. Employees will be expected to provide weekend and/or evening hours on call for emergencies. Currently, the on-call schedule is one night per week on-call and one weekend per month on-call, with major holidays on rotation.
