Home Care Support Specialist

Job Overview

Aveanna is seeking an experienced Home Care Support Specialist or NAC for a specific case working 33 hours per week, M-F. The ideal candidate will provide non-medical personal care, supervision, and companionship to clients in their homes. Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including ambulation, transfers, bathing, grooming, meal preparation, and dressing.
• Provide oral medication reminders and light housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Transport clients to appointments and engage them in conversations, take them on walks, and entertain them through reading, puzzles, etc.
• Perform Range of Motion exercises as requested and comply with all state laws and agency policies related to reporting suspected abuse and domestic violence.
• Observe safety guidelines and report any unusual occurrences or changes in clients' conditions to supervisors.

Requirements:

• Valid WA license in good standing to run errands and transport patients when needed.
• Ability to adhere to confidentiality standards and professional boundaries at all times.
• Quick-thinking and astute decision-making skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
• Prolonged sitting, walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting.
• Must be able to sit and climb stairs.
• Visual and hearing acuity, strong sense of smell and touch.
