Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media Manager to lead the development and execution of our social media strategy. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the beauty industry, a strong understanding of social media platforms, and a proven ability to create compelling content that drives student admissions, service revenue, and retail product sales.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Content Creation:
- Develop visually stunning and engaging content, including photos, videos, graphics, and copy, tailored to each platform (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, etc.).
- Collaborate with educators, students, and staff to capture authentic moments that highlight the school’s programs, culture, and services.
- Stay up-to-date with beauty trends and integrate them into content to resonate with the target audience.
2. Content Planning and Scheduling:
- Create a detailed monthly content calendar that aligns with admissions starts, service promotions, and school events.
- Plan and execute campaigns for key initiatives, such as open houses, new program launches, and service discounts.
- Utilize scheduling tools to optimize posting times for maximum engagement.
- Create and manage advertising posts on all social media platforms to drive leads.
3. Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to grow followers, increase engagement, and drive measurable results.
- Identify and target key audience segments, including prospective students, current students, alumni, and clients.
- Collaborate with the marketing and admissions teams to ensure alignment with broader organizational goals.
- Manage marketing budget, strategies, and website development.
4. Analytics and Optimization:
- Track and analyze key performance metrics (engagement rates, follower growth, website traffic, etc.) to evaluate campaign success.
- Use insights to refine content strategies and optimize future campaigns.
- Report on social media performance and ROI to leadership on a regular basis.
5. Community Engagement:
- Actively monitor and respond to comments, messages, and reviews to foster an engaged online community.
- Create strategies for encouraging user-generated content and testimonials.
- Build partnerships with local influencers, alumni, and beauty brands to enhance visibility.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree – Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Social Media Manager, preferably in the beauty, education, or lifestyle industries.
- Strong content creation skills, including photography, videography, and graphic design. Proficiency in tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and video editing software is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail.
- Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Passion for the beauty industry and an understanding of beauty school culture and goals.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with scheduling and analytics tools (e.g., Later, Hootsuite, Sprout Social).
- Experience working with lead management software (e.g., SalesForce)
- Familiarity with Google Analytics and basic SEO principles.
- Background in marketing, public relations, or digital advertising is a plus.
