Position Overview:As a Rheumatologist, you will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of rheumatologic conditions such as arthritis, lupus, fibromyalgia, and other autoimmune disorders. You will provide consultations via telemedicine platforms, allowing you to offer accessible and convenient care to patients from the comfort of your own home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct remote consultations with patients to assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for rheumatic and autoimmune diseases.
- Offer personalized care and evidence-based treatment options for conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, lupus, spondyloarthropathies, and others.
- Prescribe appropriate medications, including disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs), biologics, and other treatments.
- Provide patient education on managing chronic conditions and improving quality of life.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records through our electronic health record system.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including primary care providers and physical therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and best practices in rheumatology and telemedicine.
Qualifications:
- Board-certified Rheumatologist or board eligible.
- Valid medical license in North Dakota (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in rheumatology (telemedicine experience is a plus).
- Strong ability to diagnose and manage complex rheumatic diseases.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
- Comfort with telemedicine platforms and electronic health records.
- Ability to work independently, ensuring timely and accurate care for patients.
