About this Opportunity:
The Senior Care Nurse Manager is responsible for managing the nursing role of the programs offered by Senior Care. This includes day-to-day tasks of the team, such as scheduling to meet clinical and budgetary guidelines, recruiting and onboarding new nurses, employee retention, discipline, and performance evaluations. In addition, this role will serve as a member of the Clinical Leadership team to establish professional clinical standards for the clinical team, innovate to meet customer needs more effectively, facilitate a work environment that fosters excellence, provide support to the Account Executives in establishing clinical rapport addressing concerns of customers, and partner with eCare licensing and credentialing department to assure compliance with state rules and regulations for nursing practice. This position will partner with other members of the Administrative and Clinical Leadership teams to develop and implement new service sites and offerings and will be responsible for creating supporting policies and procedures that maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and meet customer needs. Ongoing quality assurance and leadership in performance improvement of service offerings is a key component of the position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Maintains current knowledge of clinical concepts applicable to Senior Care and apply knowledge when planning, operationalizing, and evaluating services.
- Supervises the team of nurses in day-to-day work and directs the nursing workflows in conjunction with the other clinical and operational members of the Senior Care team to optimize team function. 3. Manages nursing personnel including schedules, performance, recruitment, orientation, retention, professional development, licensing expectations, and other tasks as deemed necessary.
- Assists with the development and implementation of new eCare service lines and programs, including quality improvement projects, protocol development, workflow mapping, and clinical effectiveness research.
- Coordinates implementation of new eCare Senior Care sites with Account Executives, involves Nurse Practitioner Supervisor as needed.
- Effective verbal and written communication with eCare customers to facilitate the development of best practice standards and professional relationships ensuring a strong relationship between Avel eCare and its customers.
- Works with clinic leadership to develop an annual education plan for customers and respond to ad hoc education requests from customers, with support from Clinical Leadership Team.
- Establish and maintain a competency plan for nurses.
- Participate in data review and analysis of eCare operational outcomes and metrics and work with the Leadership Team to establish and achieve annual goals to improve efficiency, productivity and quality of care.
- Assists with the design, revision and presentation of protocols.
- Maintain expert knowledge of software. Reviews and assists with updating departmental policies and practices to reflect current operations.
- Access relevant medical records and clinical information, document the processes of care delivery.
- Meets regularly with the Senior Care physician(s) for consultation and collaboration.
- Assesses and makes recommendations in the clinical setting according to approved protocols and accepted standards of practice.
- Coordinates the medical and nursing plan of care to ensure a patient-centered healthcare environment.
- Clinical Responsibilities: This position will work 2-4 shifts per month as the Registered Nurse to maintain clinical skills and knowledge of the clinical workflow; working more or less shifts requires supervisor approval. In this role, the RN is typically the first contact with customers, gathering information and coordinating the interprofessional team to appropriately meet customer needs.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred. Graduate from an approved nursing program is acceptable.
- 2-4 years previous experience in operations within a Senior Care setting required.
- Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred.
- 2 years previous management experience preferred.
