Job Title: Physical Therapist
The Physical Therapist (PT) plays a vital role in the treatment of illness and/or injury, utilizing physical exercises and therapies to restore body functions and promote maximum client wellness and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Administers patient care and special procedures, utilizing unique skills/training to provide direct therapeutic care and teach rehabilitation skills to clients and caregivers.
• Coordinates PT services, providing assigned clients with individualized therapy programs that cater to their age-specific needs and goals.
• Develops and revises plans of care based on initial assessments, continual reassessments, client history, diagnosis, physician orders, expected outcomes, and client goals.
• Performs treatments involving physical agents such as heat, water, and electricity, using equipment like whirlpool baths, electrical muscle stimulation, and ultrasound, while adhering to utilization guidelines and protocols.
• Formulates and implements teaching plans, communicates significant clinical findings and changes to physicians and other personnel, and documents all skilled and medically necessary care thoroughly and accurately.
Requirements:
• Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current Oklahoma license as a Physical Therapist and current BLS certification or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Five (5) years of full-time physical therapy work experience, with supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse populations in stressful situations.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, adhere to safety and infection control practices, and assume responsibility for seeking out educational and professional opportunities for personal growth and development.
