The Marketing Specialist plays a crucial role in implementing and influencing the marketing strategy and branded content creation for three locations and the dozen programs of Avenidas, enabling programs, services, events, and / or products to meet organizational objectives. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Marketing and Communications, this individual will oversee content strategy that delivers compelling branding and storytelling across all channels (website, social media, print, outdoor, swag, etc.). This person will work collaboratively on a small Marketing & Communications team; oversee contractors and vendors; facilitate products with Avenidas Development and Program staff; and be expected to exercise considerable oversight and reasonable discretion with only occasional manager direction concerning all duties, including those involving monitoring budget as assigned. This individual thrives in a collaborative environment with other departments, as well as outward-facing audiences such as participants, donors, Board members, and other stakeholders. Essential Job Functions
Content Development (50%)
- Creates new, revised, and repurposed marketing collateral in collaboration with the Marketing & Communications team, staff, and vendors.
- Creates content about the impact of Avenidas by interviewing, photographing, and videoing participants, events, staff, and volunteers to develop and create stories to share.
- Designs, manages, and executes signature products like : Annual Report, program brochures, and quarterly print newsletter.
- Builds upon existing style guide and brand identity guidelines for all platforms, including website, social media, print, outdoor, swag, etc.
- Owns, maintains, and promotes a highly organized archive of marketing assets (transcripts, photos, videos, collateral, etc.), for use by Marketing and Communications team and staff.
- Maintains official brand identity guidelines, including training staff to use them and provides content creation assistance to staff as needed.
- Manages contractor and vendor relationships and project budgets.
- Briefs staff and leadership on all marketing efforts.
- Contributes to the marketing strategy and to the yearly marketing calendar.

Hours and Compensation
This is a full-time, on-site exempt (M-F) 40 hour per week position. Pay range is $86,400 to $91,240 annualized and benefits are generous. We offer medical, dental, vision, 403B grant (3% at six months), paid vacation, sick leave, holidays, Bronze Avenidas membership, and more.
