Position Overview
We are seeking a highly driven and intellectually curious Equity Research Analyst to join our investment team in New York, with a sector focus on AI, technology, and internet platforms. The ideal candidate will bring a strong combination of sell-side investment research and buy-side public equities experience, along with a proven ability to generate differentiated insights and contribute to portfolio performance.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct in-depth bottom-up research and analysis on U.S.-listed equities, with a focus on AI, semiconductors, enterprise software, internet platforms, and emerging tech trends
• Monitor key financial metrics, industry dynamics, regulatory changes, and company-specific catalysts to support investment recommendations
• Build and maintain financial models and valuation frameworks to inform buy/sell/hold decisions
• Present investment theses clearly and persuasively to the CIO and broader investment committee
• Participate in company meetings, industry conferences, and expert calls as needed
• Collaborate with internal teams to refine investment frameworks and optimize risk-adjusted returns
Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of experience in equity research or public markets investing
• Combination of sell-side and buy-side experience highly preferred
• Sell-side: Equity research analyst covering U.S. tech/internet sectors at a leading investment bank
• Buy-side: Analyst role at a hedge fund or long-only asset manager with public equity exposure
• Strong understanding of financial modeling, valuation techniques, and earnings analysis
• Demonstrated passion for public markets, deep interest in AI and transformative technologies
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a top 20 U.S. university (top 10 strongly preferred)
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
• CFA designation is a plus, but not required
