Position Overview: As an HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heating, cooling, and ventilation systems. You will play a key role in ensuring customer comfort and satisfaction by providing expert service, troubleshooting system issues, and recommending solutions to optimize system performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot & Repair: Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation systems.
- Routine Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance services such as filter replacements, refrigerant checks, coil cleaning, and system efficiency testing.
- System Diagnostics: Use advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to pinpoint system failures and recommend solutions.
- Emergency Services: Respond to urgent HVAC system failures to restore service quickly and effectively.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate clearly with clients, explaining system issues, repair options, and preventative maintenance tips.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all repairs and maintenance work meet industry standards, local building codes, and company safety guidelines.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and customer interactions in company systems.
- Stay Updated: Keep up with industry advancements, new technologies, and best practices through training and certifications.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in HVAC service and repair.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC trade school or apprenticeship preferred.
- Desired Certifications: S-2 license, EPA Section 608 Certification required; NATE certification is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of HVAC troubleshooting, electrical components, and refrigerant handling.
- Communication Skills: Ability to explain technical issues in a clear and professional manner to clients.
- Driver License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
