Summary
The Office Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day business operations for the medical practice, ensuring administrative workflows run smoothly, and providing leadership to clerical staff. This position serves as the primary point of contact for IT-related issues, triaging technical problems, and acting as a liaison with third-party vendors to resolve issues promptly. The Office Coordinator will work closely with the Clinical Coordinator and Practice Administrator to maintain a high standard of patient care through efficient operational processes.
Responsibilities Include but Not Limited to:
- Oversee daily office operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Manage scheduling and calendar coordination for physicians and support staff.
- Supervise support staff and provide training and support as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage clerical tasks efficiently.
- Facilitate communication between patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Prepare and generate various administrative reports, such as patient volume and scheduling metrics.
- Implement organizational systems to enhance workflow and productivity.
- Support the development of training programs for new staff members.
- Coordinate efforts to resolve any operational challenges that may impact productivity or patient care.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in office management or coordination within a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong health insurance and billing knowledge.
- Strong team management skills with the ability to supervise effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Effective communication skills for interaction with patients and staff.
- Familiarity with clerical duties and maintaining patient records.
- Experience in calendar management and scheduling is a plus.
