ELOS Environmental is looking for a qualified and experienced Industrial Hygiene (IH) Program Manager, that will oversee and coordinate site Industrial Hygiene programs, and all assigned project management functions. This position includes but is not limited to project scoping, department growth, project team consulting and assistance, program development, project management, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes, and rules, liaises between company, site teams, and regulatory agencies, interpreting Industrial Hygiene risk prioritization and applying rational and balanced needs against budgetary demands, and various other tasks as the need arises.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- As the Industrial Hygiene (IH) Program Manager, you will oversee and coordinate site Industrial Hygiene programs, understand and maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, and continually strive for improvement with an ultimate goal of achieving industry best practices
- Providing IH support and direction to employees, management, HR, legal, and HSSE professionals
- Interpreting IH risk prioritization and applying rational and balanced needs against budgetary demands
- Supervising, mentoring, and developing IH professionals within the organization
- The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong technical background in industrial hygiene, with a strong focus on lead, asbestos, and mold services.
- The IH Program Manager will have the ability to work collaboratively and communicate across all levels of the organization
- They will have excellent project management skills and the ability to analyze and evaluate data to direct and produce required documentation and submittals
- Providing advice to management on strategic decisions associated with new and evolving federal, state, and local legislation and Company/industry standards and practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Health & Safety, Natural Science, Toxicology, Chemistry, or other related technical discipline
- 5 years of experience working in Industrial Hygiene
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas (respirator, hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, heeled boots and hearing protection)
- Depending on qualifications, the successful candidate may be offered a position at a more appropriate level and/or grade
