What are the responsibilities and job description for the Van Driver Full Time CDL Class B AND Passenger Endorsement REQUIRED (Daily Pay option available) position at Aventura at Oakwood Village?
Education
High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Experience
Two years previous experience as transporter, chauffeur, or similar experience preferred.
License / Certification
Current CDL licensure is required . Must have Class B . Proof of insurance required annually. Vehicular background check performed annually must meet CHP policy in order to stay active as a driver. DOT testing required.
Skills
Ability to communicate with residents and staff regarding scheduling of transportation. Customer service skills.
Working Conditions
Exposure to elements depending upon the weather conditions. May work weekdays, weekends, holidays, and evenings per the schedule in activities or due to resident schedules.
Physical Demands
Ability to lift and / or transfer weights up to 30 pounds. Bending, stooping, and able to stand for long periods of time. Manual dexterity and mobility required. Pushing / pulling.
Job duties Transports residents of the facility by van / bus or car. Coordinates and communicates transportation schedules and services to residents and staff. Offers assistance to residents / passengers entering / exiting the vehicle and provides protection in inclement weather. Adheres to all state and local driving laws. Maintains departmental records / reports. Prepares and maintains transportation logs, vehicle fuel consumption, and other data within specified time frame.
