Job Description
Aventura At West Park is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Records/Central Supply Specialist to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient management of medical records and central supply functions to support the delivery of high-quality care to our residents.
Key Responsibilities
Medical Records:
- Maintain and update patient medical records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of all medical records.
- Coordinate the release of medical information to authorized personnel and entities.
- Conduct regular audits of medical records to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
- Assist with the preparation of reports and documents as needed.
- Manage inventory of medical and office supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Order, receive, and distribute supplies in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of supply usage and inventory.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery and cost-effective purchasing.
- Monitor and manage the budget for central supply.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in medical records management and/or central supply in a healthcare setting.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in computer systems and software related to medical records and inventory management.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking.
- Manual dexterity for handling medical records and supplies.
