This position serves as a resource to all departments and personnel.
It is the responsibility of the Clinical Educator to create and maintain a learning environment of warmth, positive reinforcement, and calmness.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assesses the educational needs of employees in collaboration with the Director of Nursing, Supervisors, and other personnel.
Assesses the educational needs of residents and family members and responsible parties residing or visiting in the facility.
Formulates in-service education objectives in accordance with the philosophy of the Nursing Department.
Establishes criteria for all in-service education programs, constructing the curriculum, course outlines, objectives, teaching methods, examinations, and evaluation tools for each program.
Constructs an annual schedule for presentation of mandatory in-service programs.
Plans and implements an orientation program for all Nursing Department personnel and based on identified educational needs, offers individualized counseling and guidance (including infection control and employee health program.
Supplements and integrates in-service education into everyday clinical practice throughout the facility.
