Primary Function / General Purpose Of Position
The Wellness Director is responsible for ensuring the general well-being of residents through the delivery of high quality service in a manner that is consistent with the assisted living philosophy. The Wellness Director will establish procedures, objectives and work standards and is responsible for the management and supervision of the direct care staff and aspects of care activities of all staff. The Wellness Director is responsible for quality care for providing a “system of care” for residents in a manner and environment that provides dignity and respect in full recognition of each resident’s individuality. Requires the ability to understand and follow policies and procedures of infection control, disaster preparedness, safety rules and regulation and facility rules.

Employment Qualifications
- Must be a Licensed RN/LPN and meet licensing and/or qualification requirements of MD State laws and/or regulations.
- Must have supervisory and geriatric nursing experience and sensitivity to the interest of, and understanding of the physical, mental, social, spiritual characteristics of aging, while maintaining an appreciation of the resident’s psychosocial well-being.
