Lab Technician
$16-$18/hr
Schedule: 11:00am - 7:00pm; One Weekday and One Weekend Day Off
A well-established company is seeking a detail-oriented Lab Technician to join their team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen interest in microbiological testing and bacterial analysis within a food manufacturing environment. The Lab Technician will be responsible for performing routine bacterial testing, ensuring products meet safety standards, and maintaining a clean and organized lab environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine bacterial testing on food products and raw materials.
- Prepare samples for microbial contamination and bacterial growth.
- Record and maintain accurate documentation and detailed lab records.
- Follow standardized laboratory procedures and safety protocols for bacterial testing.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization within the laboratory to prevent cross-contamination.
- Work closely with the quality control team to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED (required).
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in any related science field preferred.
- Previous experience in a laboratory setting, specifically with bacterial testing, or quality assurance in food manufacturing (preferred but not required).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise protocols.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
- Must be able and willing to work around and with pork products.
