Accounts Receivable/Payable Clerk

$22 to $27/hour DOE

Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM (hours will extend past 5pm during seasonal operations)

A local progressive Cooperative is hiring an accounts receivable/payable clerk to join their team! This position works to support the facility and local customers. This is a great opportunity to work with an established Cooperative that is expanding and growing every year years since established in the Archer, IA area! Responsibilities:

• Update, bill, and monitor Feed Pricing

• Print checks for customers selling product.

• Finalize sales and purchase contracts.

• Keep all contract Records up to date

• Reconcile put throughs

• Receive customer payments.

• Review customer account balances and input information in operating system.

• Maintain and update contract files. Validate signatures and proper contract sequences.

• Maintain and update budget files.

• Prepare customer records and send out as scheduled

• Maintain and update VFD files

• Take orders from customers and prepare orders to send to the feed mill

• Greet and assist customers

• Answer phones and direct the appropriate people. Take detailed messages in someone’s absence

• All facets of incoming and outgoing scale operations for grain, feed, and agronomy truck traffic. This includes probing and weighing trucks, entering splits, printing tickets

• Working with other office staff to better serve customers

• Assist in meeting preparations

• Comply with all policies and procedures, including safety policies

• Maintain a professional image – equipment, facilities and personal appearance

• Count cash drawer at the end of the day

• Assist in preparing for distribution various statements and other mailings

  
  

Requirements:

• High school diploma/GED
• Prior grain or feed knowledge preferred
• Proficient time management skills
• Ability to maintain confidential information
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to work independently
