CNC Programmer / Set-up

Do you enjoy working with highly advanced equipment and can pay great attention to detail? Then we have the job for you! A family-owned business in the Sheldon Iowa area is looking for a full-time CNC programmer and set up person for lathe and mill machines to join their growing team. As a CNC Programmer, you will work independently and alongside the shop manager to analyze drawings/sample parts and create machining programs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize CNC programs for mills and lathes, based on engineering drawings and specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
- Utilize SolidWorks software to create 3D models and generate tool paths.
- Set up CNC machines and ensure quality control of parts according to programmed instructions.
- Maintain documentation of programming changes, tooling requirements, and machine settings.
Requirements:
- Experience with CNC lathes and mills
- 1 or more years of CNC programming experience
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM software
- Experience using 3D modeling software (Solidworks preferred)
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings
