Sheer Press Operator
$18.00-19.00/hour DOE
Monday - Friday 7am-3:30pm
We are seeking a skilled Sheer Press Operator to join our team. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery to process metal pieces with precision and safety. If you have fabrication experience, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read blueprints, we encourage you to apply!
Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and maintain sheer press machinery.
- Lift, position, and manipulate steel sheets to ensure precise cuts and bends.
- Trim metal sheets or plates according to written or verbal instructions.
- Read blueprints and use hand and power tools effectively.
- Adjust and test machine speeds for optimal performance.
- Examine, measure, and weigh materials to verify they meet specifications.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of previous fabrication experience required.
- Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with hand/power tools.
- Understanding of machine operations, including cutting, trimming, and bending metal.
- Attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
