Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Vent Unit Floor Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients requiring ventilator support, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care for patients on ventilators.
- Monitor and manage ventilator settings and patient responses.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families about ventilator care and management.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards.
- Participate in continuous education and training to stay current with best practices in ventilator care.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Ohio.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in critical care or ventilator unit.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of ventilator management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
