About the opportunity:
Our Client has an engineering culture that encourages software development practices in line with building secure, scalable, fault tolerant, maintainable and high quality software. We believe strongly in architecture and design practices that encourage re-use and appropriate separation of concerns. The engineers translate product requirements into technical solutions in collaboration with their peers and cross functional teams. Engineers need excellent technical skills, strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent organizational and time management skills. They operate within an agile environment and need to be familiar with agile methodologies and actively participate in all agile ceremonies.
Responsibilities:
- Delivering solutions for structured data schemas
- Applying AI models to create data relationships and ontologies.
- Creating tools for 3rd parties to assist with ETL creation and ontology mapping.
- Structured Data (defining fixed formats and general data structures that will apply to multiple data sets)
- Architecting and Designing Relational and NoSQL data structures
- Tuning and optimizing for performance
- Experience with Data Ontologies
Required Qualifications:
- NodeJS, Python
- Expert knowledge of databases and SQL; noSQL and relational databases, Postgres
- 8-10 years Experience as a Full Stack or Back End Developer
- Proficiency with Git and GitHub workflows
- Proficiency with the AWS platform
- Experience writing unit tests
Desired Skills
- Bachelor of science degree (or equivalent) in computer science, engineering, or similar experience
- Experience writing Functional Tests
- Owl, RDS or other ontology languages
