Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Manage infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment for patients.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office.
- Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for record keeping and appointment scheduling.
- Monitor vital signs when necessary and assist in emergency situations.
Requirements
- Knowledge of anatomy, infection control practices, and medical imaging techniques.
- Familiarity with medical coding is a plus, along with experience in managing medical records.
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
- Certification or training as a Dental Assistant is preferred.
