Light Duty Tow Truck Operator

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Tow Truck Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing roadside assistance and towing services to customers in need. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, excellent conflict management skills, and the ability to operate various types of tow trucks, including flatbed models. This position requires a commitment to safety and customer service while efficiently managing the demands of the job.

Responsibilities

• Operate tow trucks safely and effectively to transport vehicles to designated locations.
• Perform automotive diagnostics to assess vehicle conditions before towing.
• Load and unload vehicles using appropriate techniques to prevent damage.
• Manage conflict with customers professionally, ensuring a positive experience during stressful situations.
• Maintain accurate records of services provided and any necessary documentation.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on tow trucks to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Utilize manual transmission skills when operating various tow truck models.
• Assist with other duties as required, including operating forklifts when necessary.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driving license (CDL) is preferred.
• Proven experience in towing or related automotive fields is a plus.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic repairs and diagnostics.
• Familiarity with flatbed towing techniques and equipment operation.
• Excellent conflict management skills to handle customer interactions effectively.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
• A commitment to safety practices while on the road and at job sites.

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
