About the property operations manager role :
The property operations manager role is responsible for completing the below for three to six properties. This is a hybrid position split between the corporate office and remote work.
Generate and process all lease contracts for new and renewing residents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policiesPrepare and send deposit accounting statements for former residents, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded and communicated effectivelyManage accounts payable by coding invoices appropriately and entering purchase order and payable information through the workflow systemOversee delinquency management processes, including tracking overdue accounts and implementing appropriate actions for collectionsMaintain compliance with all MFTE / affordable housing requirements, including certifying new residents and re-certifying existing resident filesEducation, experience and schedule :
High school diploma is requiredTwo to three years of experience in property management is requiredKnowledge of resident rental lifecycle activities is requiredPrior experience in Yardi Voyager or another equivalent system is preferredSkills and requirements :
Very strong organizational and time-management skillsStrong interpersonal skills to effectively and sensitively communicate with all levels of managementIntermediate level knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and ExcelSensitivity to confidential matters is requiredAbility to work independently and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgencyAbility to relay technical concerns with adequate detail, quickly and accuratelyCapability to read, write, comprehend, and converse in EnglishAbility to use general office equipment, such as telephone, fax machine, printer, copier, and key track systemExcellent customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to othersAbility to cope with and defuse situations involving angry or difficult peopleRequired to complete and successfully pass the Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within the first 30 days of employmentOur Core beliefs :
