A Brief Overview
Accountable for greeting and collecting necessary information to register patients.
What you will do
- Register patients in a timely and accurate manner and providing direction to patients, families and visitors.
- Collect and accurately record patient information, including personal details, medical history and insurance information.
- Complete necessary procedures to create accounts, verify insurance coverage, collection of deductibles and co-pays and providing education on insurance eligibility.
- Obtain necessary authorizations or referrals, ensuring compliance with insurance requirements.
- Perform generalized secretarial duties as needed including, but not limited to: front desk reception, phone reception; word processing; collates, faxes, mails and assembles reports and documents, assists in the coordinating the schedule and appointments.

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
- High School or GED Equivalent
Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
- Associate's Business Administration, Accounting, Health Information Management, Medical Assisting or a related field.
- 1-3 years related experience
