Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) to provide direct personal care and services to residents in our skilled nursing facility.
The ideal candidate will be accountable for meeting the physical, academic, social, and spiritual needs of residents on a daily basis, maintaining and improving their highest level of independent function.
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, shaving, oral hygiene, bed making, transfers, repositioning, toileting, serving and collecting food trays, encouraging and/or assisting with feeding, answering call lights, and maintaining a clean environment.
- Perform blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration, and weight measurements, documenting concise and factual information on appropriate forms.
- Assist residents in performing specific medical care activities in accordance with established policy and procedure, contributing to the patient's plan of care, including restorative exercises, collecting specimens, assessing and documenting completed cares, providing feedback to nursing staff on status or changes in patient conditions, pain management, and other important concerns.
- Restock supplies and maintain an appropriate work environment in the unit, including cleaning procedures.
- Participate in providing emotional, educational, and spiritual support for families.
- Comply with all aspects of resident rights, including confidentiality and privacy, reporting all allegations of resident abuse or misappropriation of resident property.
- Understand and follow established policy and procedures related to fire, tornado, evacuation, disaster plan, universal precautions, infection control procedures, hazardous and chemical communication program, maintaining an environment that is clean and safe for all residents, families, and staff.
Qualifications
- Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) - Licensing Board in the state of practice within 120 Days.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School or GED Equivalent.
- Less than 1 year Related experience or training.
