Avera Medical Group Pierre Work Shift : Rotating days / evenings / nights / weekends / holidays (United States of America) The pay range for this position is listed below. Provide education and support to patients living with diabetes teaching them to manage their condition through diet, exercise, blood sugar monitoring and self-care practices to achieve optimal health outcomes. May be eligible for up to $9,000 sign on bonus and $2,500 relocation bonus. Monday-Friday : 8 : 00am-5 : 00pm, with evening and Saturday urgent care rotation; Be part of a multidisciplinary team built with compassion and the goal of Moving Health Forward for you and our patients. Responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients and families. Communicates with physicians as well as other healthcare team members to provide excellent patient care. Performs general nursing care to patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards. Coordinates the patient care activities for the clinic. Prepares equipment and assists provider during procedures, treatments, examinations, and testing of patients. Screens patients for appropriate information including obtaining the health history, taking vitals, and conducting a nursing assessment. Documents obtained information in patient chart. Instructs patient in collection of samples and tests. Responds to patient phone calls in a timely manner with appropriate input from the physician. Educates patients and families about diagnostic process, medications, nutrition, and maintenance of health and wellness. Suggests solutions to patient care crisis problems and complaints. Maintains exam rooms with necessary supplies and materials. Prepares list of medical supplies needed. Assures appropriate labeling of pathology specimens according to lab protocol as needed. Performs quality control and maintains records on all lab testing.
