Job Description:
We are looking for a Dietary Aide to assist in the preparation and service of meals. The successful candidate will have a good working knowledge of all products used in the Dietary Department and be able to plan own work schedule for the day based on the menu and to meet the meal schedules.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High school degree, preferred.
- Must have a basic understanding of food production.
- Must possess good communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work with geriatric residents and understand their special diet needs.
- Must exhibit a spirit of cooperation and teamwork.
Responsibilities:
- Assists cook in preparation and service of meal.
- Assists in tray assembly, tray/cart delivery, dining room service and clean up.
- Assists with in-between meal nourishment preparation, service and clean up.
- Assists in receiving and storage of food supplies.
Maintaining a Clean Working Environment:
- Prepares food in a sanitary manner.
- Uses proper food handling techniques.
- Maintains a clean working environment.
- Frequent precautionary measures are employed to prevent accidents.
