This Radiation Therapist role is part of a multidisciplinary team that strives to provide compassionate care and advance the health of our patients.
Job Summary:
The Radiation Therapist will deliver prescribed therapeutic radiation doses to patients under the guidance of Radiation Oncologists and Physicists. This role requires collaboration with other staff members, technical knowledge of equipment, and expertise in clinical treatment set-up and patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver prescribed therapeutic radiation doses to patients and accurately monitor and document each treatment.
- Collaborate with Radiation Oncologists and Physicists to ensure accurate treatment plans and delivery.
- Develop an understanding of patients' physical and emotional status and report to appropriate staff.
- Provide patient care and initiate life support measures as necessary.
- Interact effectively with patients, physicians, family members, department staff, and healthcare workers.
- Perform computed tomography scans simulations (CT Sims) at a level not requiring constant supervision.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree from an Accredited School of Radiation Therapy Technology.
- Radiation Therapy (T) certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Preferred experience: 1-3 years as a Radiation Therapist or equivalent.
