Job Description
As a Physical Therapist at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital, you will evaluate and treat patients using tailored rehabilitation programs while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care. Your role involves developing individual treatment plans, instructing patients and caregivers, and overseeing physical therapy assistants.
The position requires evaluating assigned patients, gathering data from various sources, and using selected activities and/or tasks to promote and maintain health. You will establish and modify intervention and strategies for patients' treatment programs based on ongoing evaluation.
Key responsibilities include providing direct therapy services to patients, planning therapy within patients' individual capabilities, and maintaining knowledge of proper equipment use. You will also oversee physical therapy assistants, techs, and students in an efficient and effective manner.
