Nursing Care in Long-Term Settings
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Avera Health, you will provide professional nursing care to residents in long-term care settings. Your responsibilities will include assessments, evaluations, and administering medications. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality care and compliance with facility policies and medical protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform all licensed practical nursing functions and services as directed by the Registered Nurse to all residents.
- Complete assessments on residents, make appropriate interventions, apply knowledge, prioritize resident care, and use the nursing process.
- Comply with pharmaceutical policies and procedures, ensure medication/treatment administration is safe and accurate according to physician orders.
- Participate in the care planning process and assure that resident care is implemented consistently and appropriately.
