Job Description
The Medical Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to diagnostic testing, including specimen collection, handling, and testing. Key Responsibilities
- Prioritize and complete specimen collection, handling, and testing tasks.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of diagnostic results.
- Maintain clinical competency through ongoing education and professional development.
- Provide education and training to students, other professionals, and non-professional staff.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Science.
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), Clinical Laboratory Technician (CLT), or equivalent.
- Minimum 6 months clinical internship/education as part of Associate Degree Program.
