About the Job
This position plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results. The successful candidate will have a strong background in medical laboratory science and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and complex laboratory tests, utilizing theoretical knowledge and independent judgment in addition to established protocol, techniques, and equipment manuals.
- Assume responsibility for distinguishing between normal and abnormal clinical laboratory parameters and take corrective actions as necessary.
- Communicate laboratory data and pertinent technical information to appropriate departments and individuals in an accurate and timely fashion.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
- MLS certification from American Medical Technologists (AMT) or ASCP within one year of employment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
