Overview
Avera Health is seeking a skilled Sonographer to join our multidisciplinary team. As a Diagnostic Ultrasound Technician, you will be responsible for performing high-quality imaging exams and providing exceptional patient care.Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct transthoracic echoes and vascular ultrasound exams as ordered by providers and radiologists.
- Apply Holter and Event monitors, and perform EKGs on patients of all ages.
- Produce accurate and efficient clinical diagnostic images according to established standards and protocols.
- Maintain department policies, procedures, objectives, quality assessment, safety, and environment and infection control.
- Assist with staff/student on-the-job training and orientation.
- Analyze, collect, and maintain records as required by department manager, Quality Improvement, Joint Commission, MDH, ACR standards, OSHA guidelines or as may be required by the facility or law.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent from an accredited program.
- Registration upon hire as an Ultrasound Technologist - American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
- Vascular experience preferred.
